UX research & design

During my master’s in Design for Interaction at TU Delft, I learned to design with a human-centered approach, always keeping a sharp technical focus. A UX traineeship put this into action: I became skilled at interviewing users and spotting patterns without boxing them in. My NLP training sharpened my listening skills, allowing me to truly understand people’s needs.

My approach? At TomTom, I’m systematic; at Kidiyo, playful and style-focused; and with VanIn, I co-create with users to ensure every design piece fits like a puzzle.

TomTom activity tracker: Software redesign

  • Usertesting in a controlled environment
  • Mobile application design
  • Wire-framing
  • Software redesign

TomTom tasked us with researching the user experience of their TomTom Touch activity tracker. The project resulted in an extensive report with insights and a redesign of the device, app, and installation guide.

We developed a research plan, conducted user testing in a controlled environment, and identified key interaction issues through notes and video analysis. These findings guided a redesign of the tracker, app, and guide. To assess improvements, we prototyped and tested the redesign, with Attrak-diff survey results indicating enhanced user experience on several fronts.

KIDIYO

  • UX & UI design
  • Style-guide definition
  • Design for mobile application
  • Design for play

Kidiyo creates an app to entertain children aged 0-6 in an educational and social way.

As the lead designer for all graphics, I began by establishing a style guide to unify the brand’s visual identity. I designed icons and visuals for use across the website, posters, and social media.

I was also closely involved in game development, collaborating on ideas for new games. I handled the design of screens and assets, while a colleague managed programming, with support from Kidiyo’s team and advisors, including teachers and child psychologists.
